Welcome to the Home Page of
Ralph Zimmerman on RealATC.NET
Colorado Springs is a wonderful place to live, in the shadow of America's Mountain. There are some good links
to the area further down on this page.

This page is always under construction.
Although Denver Mendenhall was my friend and companion for 25 years, I have NEVER forgotten old friends and relatives

Born on D-Day, June 6 1944, here is the story of my birth as recalled by my Aunt Ruth in 1977 letter to me. She penned great stories as well as being a great person (in my mind anyway) and of course, my mother's sister. I grew up in my early years with her and my cousins mentioned in the letter, David, Grace and Tom. Harold was my uncle. So now, with the characters introduced, her letter will make a little more sense to a stranger reading it. One more word about my Aunt Ruth. She graduated at the top of her class from the Syracuse School of Journalism and later became an editor of Webster's New World Dictionary of American English published by Simon & Schuster.
My Stepfather, Sid is laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery with many great people! My Mom is there with him also.
There's a place I have on myspace, mainly to keep a permanent place to honor Denver. There's some photos there as well. I've actually expanded that space to include my biography that covers the past 25 years or so and an updated Blog to make a record of my leg loss for future amputees to hopefully get some inspiration from.
The url is http://myspace.com/ralph_zimmerman
The Blog on myspace is in reverse order from last to first entries - so you can read the
entire work from beginning to end in chronological order by clicking here.

Concerning my right leg bypass, the Non Healing Wound to my left groin and amputation, there are 8 photos that were too gruesome for myspace to allow.
Here they are if you have the fortitude to look!
